quote of however-long-I-feel-like:

Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things - trees and grass and sun and moon and stars.

Suppose we have.

Then all I can say is that, in any case, the made - up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones.

my dream about andrew bird was possibly because i was listening to this song.

he whistles (i can't), plays the violin (can't do that either), takes artsy pictures, and he sings. basically, it's love.

thoughtful thursday.

help.
i have done it again.
i have been here many times before.
hurt myself again today.
and the worst part is there's no one else to blame.

be my friend.
hold me.
wrap me up.
unfold me.
i am small.
and needy.
warm me up.
and breathe me.

ouch. i have lost myself again.
lost myself and i am nowhere to be found.
yeah. i think that i might break.
lost myself again.
and i feel unsafe.

be my friend.
hold me.
wrap me up.
unfold me.
i am small.
and needy.
warm me up.
and breathe me.

be my friend.
hold me.
wrap me up.
unfold me.
i am small.
and needy.
warm me up.
and breathe me.

sia. breathe me.

Yeah.

That's me.

But that's a slightly better me.

Oh, and I guess that's David Archuleta in there too. He was alright.

mas.

I'll go ahead and make this music week. Let's see, last we had was First Aid Kit. Now let's go to Ludo. They're a little more well known. Maybe that's just my imagination though. Anyway, I've loved them for the last six years. Let me introduce you to Topeka.

I was going to link a youtube video, but the chick used the font Papyrus. Therefore she just lost all the dignity she had gained by liking this band. Dumb font. Let's try IMEEM.

So if you're into chill-ish music, here is a song called Streetlights.

Punky: Love Me Dead.

The next band is called God Help the Girl. It is a project/soon to be movie created by the main guy from Belle & Sebastian.

This video is adorable. I am so glad Mulder introduced me to it.

Here is another song, if you liked the first one.

yet again.

Okay, I love the band Fleet Foxes. Check that song. Mykonos.

While digging around YouTube, I discovered these two sisters from Sweden. Their first song was a cover of Fleet Foxes' song "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song". They recorded it live in a nearby forest with a camcorder. In SWEDEN. They then decided to make a band. They are known as First Aid Kit.

Bam.

Check out the video "You're Not Coming Home Tonight".

I love the raw sounds of their voice. No technical equipment was needed to make them sound good. What you see in the video is what they used. The end. I don't know why, but I just can't get enough of them.

more music.

Okay, I don't know any French at all. But I am loving this girl's voice.

Meet coeur de pirate:

Coeur de Pirate || Comme des enfants from Dare To Care Records on Vimeo.

discovered via little bones.

Also, when I did my weekly iTunes download, I came across Owl City. It's like a mix of playradioplay! and the Postal Service. Can you say heaven?

Oh, and he has a mac. Where are you Adam Young? This might be love.

silver lining.

So, my drugs have been killing my appetite, and my gums have been so sore, all they can handle is soggy graham crackers and milk. Therefore, I have lost 3 pounds over the last week. Not eating at the cannon center everyday, combined with the wisdom teeth removal means, I am now back to the weight I was 3 years ago. Woo Hoo!

Also, I love this music video. The song itself is actually really annoying, but here: watch in High Quality.

I want to do this. I actually want to do a lot of different projects right now. Ehhh... now I just have to find the motivation and supplies.

i carry your heart with me.

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
-e.e. cummings
I am very much loving this poem. Also, Mary from work burned me a cd, and now I have a bunch of new favorite bands:

The Weepies - *stars*

Rilo Kiley- *we'll never sleep*

The Cardigans- *you're the storm*

Camera Obscura- *country mile*

Eisley- *one day i slowly floated away*

שמי סופיה.

So, I typed "the beatles" into my itunes search bar, and 165 songs popped up. Did they even make 165 songs?

*calls upon the magical powers of google*

Well wikipedia (ok, my auto spell check says wikipedia is a word, but beatles is not) says it's over 200. Hm, wow. Good for them.

Wow. She & Him (spectacular band) apparently did a cover of the beatles' song: I should have known better. What a nice little surprise.

Anyway, so I'm perpetually tired it seems like. Hopefully going to bed at 8 will help fix that. Gah... I forgot, I have to answer those hebrew questions... great.

I wore shorts today, and it was beautiful outside, super windy, but that always makes things interesting, right? Unfortunately we're supposed to get some snow tonight. Go away winter.     :(

I randomly ran into Charles Harris on campus last week. Weird.

I love this Color me Katie blog. It's adorable. Reyna, I foresee a future Saturday afternoon activity!

Put big eyes on random inanimate objects.

Speech bubbles.

And strangers. :]

Definitely. My camera's really slow, but I think we can do it. Aww... think of all the fun we'd have.
