quote of however-long-I-feel-like:

Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things - trees and grass and sun and moon and stars.

Suppose we have.

Then all I can say is that, in any case, the made - up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones.

quotes of the week

while sitting on the counter in the bathroom, jutting his chin out towards the mirror, 7 year old gaebriel states, very seriously,

 "hm. i think i'm growing a beard."

earlier in the day, after splashing a full cup of water on his younger sister, he explains,

"but mom, i didn't do it on purpose. i just flung my cup at her, and all of a sudden there was a big wave of water coming out."

Quote of the Week.

"How are you alive?!? Shouldn't you be dead somewhere? In a ditch?!?"

-Reyna to Me.

*Talking about how I've never had real maple syrup. Or how I've never had raspberries till this summer, or avocados, or blueberries, or pesto, or cherries, or a variety of non preservatived foods for that matter.

"I'm a jew, I'm a jew! f*** f*** f***!"

-Reyna again.

C: Counsel.

On how to interpret the spirit.
  1. Make sure you approach Him with only one question. You can't go the Lord with a multitude of questions and expect one answer.
  2. Don't seek counsel from a butt load of people. They will try and persuade you. Only ask a few trusted people, and take their opinions as a part of research and not the answer to a prayer.
  3. Answers don't come amongst distractions. Joseph went to the sacred grove, and Moses went to the top of the Mount. We need peace and serenity to feel the spirit, but we have to seek it out and find a place separate from our daily lives.
  4. Be humble. Pure and simple. It takes a great deal of strength to be humble in a world where humility is view as a weakness.
  5. Be patient.
Harold B. Lee: "Sometimes you don't get an answer. Do what you want and the Lord will sustain you in it."

L. Alvin Porter: "Learning to interpret the spirit is like learning a language. You aren't born into the world with the knowledge. It's also difficult because he speaks to everyone differently, and you can't be taught."

Quote of the Week.

"You can tell Heavenly Father you don't want children, you can tell him you're going to wait to have children, but no matter what, no matter how hard you ask, how hard you pray, you can't make Him give you children."

"Why? Because I want his wife to get hit by a bus? How is that bad?"

stinky.

It's official, I am a freak. I have sacrificed my personal hygiene for the last 3 days, in order to get in as much sexfiles as I can. Unfortunately, I cannot skip work to do so. I also stayed up late last night going through random quotes on the internet. I like this one, and I think it applies to boys numbered 1 and 3.

How many people can you love before it's too much? she said & I said I didn't think there was any real limit as long as you didn't care if they loved you back.

-Brian Andreas

Looking back, I have this to regret, that too often when I loved, I did not say so.

-David Grayson

Really, I just want a hug. Hopefully Donita is at work today, she gives hugs that smell like sugar cookies! :]

Yeah, anyway, I am going to be late for work.
