quote of however-long-I-feel-like:

Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things - trees and grass and sun and moon and stars.

Suppose we have.

Then all I can say is that, in any case, the made - up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones.

New Day & Age.

Okay, quick update:

The Killers album came out today! WOO HOO!!! They're coming to Utah for a concert sometime around March.

Ummm.... Nick is now going out with my boss.

Less than a month till I get to go home.

I saw Candice yesterday, we had lunch together, and it was really fun.

Meredith is hopefully coming on Friday night.

I saw the movie Traitor. It was awesome.

I spoke in church last week.

I'm gonna go eat now.

This one's for you HotMama.

Pics? Well... I'm kinda disgusted by my double chin in them... but hey... by Christmas time, you can all be impressed by my single chin. So I guess I'll suck it up and post the dang pics.

So, this was our group: Me, Nick, Steel (what a cool name!), Stefani, Eric (what a dork :P), and Kelly (Amazing girl here!)

We got ahold of Kelly's camera... but this was the only pic she posted... so, none of the silly faced ones made it... :(

I'm a beast.

What a retard... This was my attempt at dancing, but I really liked Kelly's pose, so, we're keeping it.

"Foo, back up off it!"

That's Nick's elbow. fyi.

Anyway, it was a blast.

Gah!.

Okay, I am sick of it!

Look at this crap:

http://www.invalidateprop8.org
Send a message to the Mormon Church, whose members raised more than $15 million to fund the deceitful advertising campaign for Proposition 8, the initiative that takes away the right to marry for same sex couples in California!

Make a donation, in the name of the president of the Mormon Church, to support the legal organizations working to invalidate Proposition 8 and to fund grass-roots activities in support of full marriage equality. For every donation of $5 or more, the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center will send the following postcard to President Thomas Monson’s office in Salt Lake City, acknowledging your donation in his name:

Dear President Monson:

A donation has been made in your name by _________________ to “invalidateprop8.org” to overturn California's Proposition 8 and restore fundamental civil rights to all citizens of California. The money will be donated to legal organizations fighting the case and to support grass-roots activities in support of full marriage equality. Although we decry the reprehensible role the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints leadership played in denying all Californians equal rights under the law, we are pleased a donation has been made on your behalf in the effort to overturn the discrimination your church members helped enshrine in the California Constitution. Given that throughout its history the Mormon Church has been subjected to bigotry, we hope you appreciate the donation in your name to fight religious bigotry here in California.

Let’s work to overturn Prop. 8 while sending a message to the Mormon Church that it’s wrong for any organization to exert political influence to deny the civil rights of any group!

AAgghhh!! There are attacks on the church all over the place. It's so annoying.

Halloween. and. Preference.

Okay, so these are some of my fellow coworkers. The one on my left is Dan. And the wolf is Amber. I don't know who the hippie is.
So basically after work, me, kelly, dan, rachel, meg, and davey hung out around town. We went to sonic, started a movie called 28 Weeks later (edited). It was definitely scary enough. 2 minutes into it, and i had enough. So we switched to Shaun of the Dead (also edited). Which was hilarious. I loved the references to Night of the living dead. Anyway, so after the movies, we went looking for a place to eat that wasn't full of scary looking college kids. We ended up at SconeCutter (every thing's better on a scone). And then we stayed out until 4 am. I was still sick... so that probably didn't help. And then Saturday, the international cinema was playing this horror film called el orfenato (The Orphanage). It was amazing. Like, my favorite Halloweeny movie now.

So, on Monday I randomly found a pack of glow-in-the-dark stars at the bookstore. And I bought them. And a couple of packs of starbursts. And decided to ask Nick to preference. So during work on Wednesday, I snuck out of work during visiting hours, and into his room. And left this:

 Which says:

starlight, star bright
first starburst i see tonight
wish i may, wish i might
be your date on preference night

And then I scattered the other starburst around his room randomly.

And of course put the stars everywhere as well.

Unfortunately, the stars only look cool when they're glowing.

And he responded today with this stuck in a piano bench:

The starbursts were inside the candy wrapper, and it was taped shut. I was so excited to get chocolate... What a let down. :)

And this is what the note said:

I feel like such a little zoobie.

Anyway, we'll be going to a jumbo twister party on Saturday. Mostly because it's the only one that didn't require a car. I'm excited.
